Thank you all! I love these emails, hearing your stories and lives and things, keep them up!
Thomas: That game sounds pretty awesome, I remember making up games just like that with Darra and you and the other neighbors, I love that you still know how to have fun! And yes, I've heard that theory before, that Palpatine set up Fox to kill Fives, I think it's over explaining things, but it's a fun idea. I just like to imagine that Fox was doing his duty as a trooper and eliminating dangerous hostiles like Fives when he was crazy. Your orchestra sounds like it's doing well! Keep up the practice and good work on that. As a missionary, the most important part of it is how you prepare yourself. That means that practice is the most important part of being a missionary. These past few weeks I have been learning Spanish, and it has been hard. There are many Elders in my district who do not want to practice outside of class and would rather watch sports or scroll through social media, which is not right. These Elders are the ones who are the least progressed in Spanish, and have a hard time moving forward. I try to put in as much study and practice as I can, and stray away from distractions as much as possible, I am not perfect, but I see my efforts pay off. You are a great student, Tom, you have a desire to learn and to grow, and that is more than most have. Keep having that desire and keep practicing violin and school. Pray too, heavenly father will help you. I love you Tom and I'm excited to hear more about your weeks!
Emilia: That sounds awesome! Trick or Treating with friends is the best! You will have a blast! A quiet place is my favorite scary movie, it keeps you on your toes. It sounds like Cross Country is a blast! Keep putting in that effort! You're a persistent girl and you can always have fun wherever you are! Keep that up! I wanna hear all about your races in the next emails! Also, I have met many people here who do not speak English well, and I remembered your example of going to speak to that Russian girl, so I went and talked with them and helped them to feel included like you did. I'm proud of you for doing something that was scary to help someone out. That is pretty much exactly what a mission is, so you are doing good missionary work. Good job Ems.
Dan and Fam: I'm super bummed I won't get to see Elder Schnell! I'm glad he's seeming ready though. The burn pile sounds awesome, and some of that awesome cider you guys makes sounds super nice right now. Dan, keep having a blast and loving life! I love you buddy. Is your favorite animal still Kodiak Bears? I have a friend up serving in Alaska, and he said he's seen some people with Bear Skulls in their homes that they've found.
I love you all and I love your emails! I hope to keep getting them throughout the next two years!
-Elder Allen
