3/4/24: PLANCHA PLANCHA

Man, ngl, this week was... interesting. Haha, there were a lot of angry Catholics. Usually there's at least one or two for the week, but this week there were an unusual amount of them.

The word "plancha" directly translated means "to iron" (like a shirt) but the way it's used here is more like "to yell at" or  or get angry. I use it this week cuz it felt like a lot of the Catholic people we interacted with were very angry and felt like "planchando" us. So yeah, it was a good time.

Honestly not a lot happened this week, just another one of those vibe check weeks on the mission. Kinda like God snapping his fingers in your face to make sure you're still awake. One cool thing tho is we went to the temple with the Elder's Quorum on saturday. It was cool, did some baptisms and a session. Always a solid experience at the temple. We also went and got some banger roadside carne afterwards. The place definitely had no sort of health code (more normal here than not), but I didn't get sick, so that's a W.

Scripture of the week is 3 Nephi 11:29, a classic, words of Christ, "he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil". It's simple as that. If you're yelling at someone about how you're a better follower of Christ, you're probably not... Just be a good person and don't say rude stuff to/about people. Listen to Jesus ;)

Anyway, that's about it, this week hopefully will be a lot better, we got some baptisms lined up, so that's exciting. More on that in the next one, ¡hasta luego!
