9/2/24: Cortito

This week was good. We had a baptism of a cool 17 year old kid who's been coming to church a lot by his own will. We taught him most everything and set the baptismal date but we found out he lives half a block outside of our area, so his baptism technically counts for the hermanas on the other side. What's important is that he got baptized tho, so I won't complain.

Anahis's baptism will this next week. She was out of town, so we moved it to the 7th. Geovanni will be the 8th, so this next weekend will be fun.

We had some hype lessons with our English teacher friend Joanna, she's progressing slowly but surely. Speaking of english teachers, we now have 3 english teachers in teaching, and they're all pretty interested. Perks of being a pair of gringos in Mexico I guess, we attract all the people who wanna get their English better.

Scripture of the Week is Alma 5:14,
"And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?"
They're some good questions. Think about them and pray about them. I like it cuz it gives us an idea of what repentence looks like.

Anyway, that'll be it for the week. Hope y'all have a good one, adios.
